Birds of Paradise

Ecological Art Installation at Paradise Ridge

Earth Art at Paradise Ridge Winery Santa Rosa

Three 40’ wide silhouettes of the hawks most often spotted at Paradise Ridge Winery in Santa Rosa, California - the Red Tailed Hawk, the Red Shouldered Hawk, and the Coopers Hawk.

This large-scale earth painting is made of eco-beneficial, biodegradable "paint" made of iron oxide + clay that adds nutrients to the soil.

Thank you to Gaelen from Sonoma Aerial Services for capturing this in-process installation video of the piece!

It was such an honor to get to create this custom piece for Paradise Ridge that will also be nourishing the hillside throughout the dormant summer season.

The birds will be on view for next couple of months before being absorbed back into the earth. They are open to the public everyday for an in-person visit if you’re in the Santa Rosa area.
