Wild Earth Art Walk

On Saturday, November 4th Kelsi welcomed a small group of folks to Green Valley Farm to view her latest large-scale ecological earth paintings. These larger-than-life ephemeral paintings are made of biodegradable paints that only last for a few months, and nourish the soil once the winter rains wash them in.

Participants were first asked to walk through the paintings and experience them without knowing fully what they looked like from above. Then, they guessed what the subject matter might be, and only after guesses were made a photo of the full image from above was revealed. It was a really fun way for attendees to interact with the artwork!

It was so special for Kelsi to share, engage with, and celebrate the creation of these large scale earth paintings, and receive attendee’s reflections, questions, and enthusiasm. Art making can often be such a solitary endeavor, and getting to share this space with everyone was a real treat!

Kelsi is available for commissions and loves to collaborate. Please keep her in mind as a collaborative art partner with restoration projects, non-profits, artists, activists, sponsors and so many more to help illuminate action for social and environmental change. This art activates spaces and hearts to bring us together and make the change we hope to see and feel.
